Darlington: NASCAR Weekend Schedule, Race Start Times, TV Info

This weekend all three of NASCAR’s top series are in action at Darlington Raceway. This weekend has become the annual throwback weekend where current drivers and teams race schemes which are to resemble those of the past.

Darlington Raceway is located in South Carolina and is famously known as the “Lady in Black” due to the dark racing surface and unforgiving turns. Built in 1950, the track’s unique egg shape was created after designer Harold Brasington opted to keep a nearby minnow pond at the request of a landowner.

The 1.366 mile track has earned a reputation for giving out the Darlington Stripe, a badge of honor which comes when a car makes contact with one of the walls.
