The Rams have signed quarterback Brett Rypien to a contact.
Rypien will compete with Stetson Bennett to be the backup to Matthew Stafford.
“This organization is at the point now where they won a Super Bowl two years ago and I think that’s where they expect to be,’’ Rypien told Mike Kils of NBC News 9NBC News 9. “They had a lot of injuries and stuff last year that derailed the season a little bit, but everything I’ve heard and seen the mentality is to get back this year. I’m excited to be a part of it and excited for the opportunity.”
Over the past four seasons Rypien has been on the Broncos roster where he made a handful of starts.
The Broncos also have Dresser Winn and Case Cookus listed as quarterbacks on their roster.
