Alex Bowman surprised spotter Kevin Hamlin with his paint scheme for the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series race at Darlington Raceway.
Hamlin was surprised to see that the car Bowman will drive during NASCAR’s throwback weekend is of his 2007 NASCAR Xfinity Series ride.
“To me, that paint scheme was a time when I took a leap of faith and bet on myself to follow my dream so to have Alex want to get it back on track is very special to me,” Hamlin said.
Spotter Kevin Hamlin has been a long-time friend and ally of @Alex_Bowman’s career.
We're excited to honor Kevin with an #Ally48 #NASCARThrowback design at @TooToughToTame that highlights the scheme he raced in the 2007 #NASCAR Xfinity Series season. #PersonALLY pic.twitter.com/IJsjmMmMoU
