Denny Hamlin will start on the pole for today’s running of the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.
Hamlin and the rest of the NASCAR Cup Series will head to their second Superspeedway race track of the season fresh off a race at the shortest track on the circuit in Martinsville Speedway.
Last season Ross Chastain won this event while AJ Allmendinger won when the series returned in the fall.
Television and streaming coverage of the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway airs on FOX Sports 1 beginning at 3:00 pm ET. MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will have the radio call. The green flag is expected to drop at 3:20 pm ET.
