Chase Elliott scored his first stage win of 2023 on Sunday.
Elliott was the first to cross the line for the conclusion of the first stage of the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.
In his second start back after suffering a snowboarding injury, Elliott began the day in 29th.

The first stage of the GEICO 500 was a productive one for Hendrick Motorsports. After only Kyle Larson began the day in the top ten, the stage ended with Elliott (1st), Alex Bowman (2nd), William Byron (4th), and Larson (5th) all inside the top-five.
