Will Power signs extension with Team Penske

Will Power has signed a new multiyear extension with Team Penske.

Power, 42, is coming off a 2022 season which saw him claim his second NTT IndyCar championship in his 15th season with the team. Of his 41 career wins in the series, 39 have come with Team Penske.

“I’m so fortunate to have had Verizon on the car for more than a decade and for those guys to re-up and (for me) to re-up with Penske, as well,” Power said in this video. “I always look back, and I say it often: I’m very fortunate. It’s where you want to be as a driver, in a team where you’re given a car that can win week in and week out.”

In addition to winning the series championship last season, Power also made headlines when he scored his 68th career pole to break the previous record held by Mario Andretti.

Power will be competing this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway where he will look to extend his streak of a win in 16 consecutive seasons. Coverage of the PPG 375 will air on NBC and Peacock beginning at noo pm ET.
