Jenson Button would consider oval races in future

Jenson Button will be driving for Rick Ware Racing and will be behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang that has been provided by Stewart-Haas later this month at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

Button, 43, was the winner of the 2009 Formula 1 World Championship. Appearing on FOX’s RaceHub show saying he would consider an oval race in the future.

“I think we all knew that an oval wouldn’t be a good idea,” Button said on the show. “I would love to do an oval but it’s another skillset altogether. That’s something that maybe I could do in the future, if I like the car and the series, maybe it’s a possibility.”

Button competed in Formula One (F1) from 2000 to 2017. He won a total of 15 Grands Prix during his F1 career. His first victory came in the 2006 Hungarian Grand Prix, driving for Honda Racing F1 Team.
