Brian Weber trying to make first Xfinity start since 2003

Brian Weber will attempt to make his first NASCAR Xfinity Series start since 2003 this weekend when he gets behind the wheel of the No. 66 Ford Mustang of MBM for the United Rentals 200.

Weber has run in 20 Xfinity Series races dating back to 1988 with the last being Nazareth, a track no longer on the circuit, in 2003. Since that last start Weber has appeared in three truck series races with the last being in 2012 at Phoenix.

During his time away from NASCAR, Weber has raced in the Southern Modified Auto Racing Tour and the Carolina Crate Modified Series.

“I am truly grateful to Carl and DeeDee for this opportunity. I mentioned to Carl a few weeks back my helmet was being put away at the end of the year, and yet, here we are!” exclaimed Weber.

Appearing on Weber’s car will be Last Option Bed, a business started by Weber. Last Option Bed is specifically designed to target the needs of airline travelers and eliminate nights spent on a cold and hard airport floor.

The United Rentals 200 is scheduled for 2:30 pm with coverage appearing on FS1.
