Martin Truex Jr. went to victory lane for the second time in the 2021 season this past weekend at Martinsville, now the driver of the No. 19 Toyota Camry is the favorite heading to Richmond Raceway.
Finding victory lane at Richmond is nothing new for Truex, as he swept both races at the track in 2019. He had to settle for a second place run last season at the track but sportsbook hopefuls will surely be placing a bunch of money on him.
Truex is a 4/1 favorite with Brad Keselowski next at 6/1. Oddsmakers are heavily on Joe Gibbs Racing and Team Penske drivers with the top five favorites all belonging to them as Denny Hamlin (13/2), Joey Logano (15/2) and Kyle Busch (8/1) all check in next. Considering all five of those drivers have gone to victory lane – for a total of 15 trips – it’s hardly a surprise.
The non-winner with the best odds is Chase Elliott (17/2) who in ten starts has three top-fives and four top-10 finishes. Speaking of non-winners, Ryan Blaney at 14/1 may be one driver to avoid this weekend as through 9 starts he has not scored better than a 17th place finish. Blaney’s average finish is 24.8.
Moving down the list Kurt Busch (33/1) is a past winner who has shown he can still wheel his way around the 0.75 mile track.
