Drafted No. 2 overall by the Lions in 2003, the NFL career of Charles Rogers would be labeled a bust.
On Monday Chris Solari is thr Detroit Free Press reported they former wide receiver passed away at the age of 38. The cause of death has not yet been identified.
Can confirm: Former MSU and Lions WR Charles Rogers has died. The Saginaw native was 38 years old.

Rogers had a standout career at Michigan State setting a school record with 27 touchdowns. His NFL career was derailed by three positive tests for drugs and later he attempted a comeback only to get busted for a DUI.
The tale of Rogers is a sad story for sure.
