After winning Saturday’s NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway, Todd Gilliland had some unkind words for team owners Kyle Busch.
“You guys are awesome!” Gilliland exclaimed on the radio. “Kyle Busch you can stay in your fucking motor home!”
Busch had been critical of both Gilliland and teammate Harrison Burton for failing to win despite driving what has been considered the best equipment in the Truck Series garage.
After a victory lane celebration, which Busch did attend, Gilliland began to apologize to Busch Saturday night tweeting
“Like I’ve said before we should have won by now and it just hasn’t happened. I want to apologize to @KyleBusch for what I said after the race. My emotions got the best of me obviously and a lot went through my head as I took the checkered. Two more wins to chase 🏁”
