Astros vs. Nationals: 2019 World Series schedule

A walkoff homerun by Jose Altuve propelled the Houston Astros into their second World Series in three years. Like they did two years ago when they defeated the Dodgers, the Astros will be looking to hoist up the World Series trophy.

For their opponents this World Series trip is a franchise first. The Washington Nationals have never in their history appeared in a World Series. After sweeping the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Championship Series the Nationals have now left he Seattle Mariners as the only MLB team to never appear in a World Series.

The entirety of the World Series will be seen on FOX. The series will start on Tuesday with the Astros hosting the Nationals at Minute Maid Park for two games. The series shifts to the nation’s capital on Friday for what could be as many as three contests. The final two games – if necessary – would be played in Houston on Sunday and Monday.
