William Byron on Roval pole, qualifying results from Charlotte

William Byron took the pole for Sunday’s running of the Bank of America Roval 400.

Last year last turn drama between Martin Truex Jr. and Jimmie Johnson sent Ryan Blaney to victory lane. Blaney starts ninth in Sunday’s race and has an inside track on a spot into the next round of the playoffs. Truex in the other hand has won the first two playoff races while Johnson did not qualify for the playoffs.

The event will take place Sunday at 2:30 pm ET and will air on NBC and PRN.
