Faced with Luke Falk as their starter, Jets add David Fales

With Sam Darnold sidelined by mono until Week 5 and Trevor Siemian out for the year the Jets have been forced to add faces to their quarterback depth chart.

With Luke Falk thrust into the the starters role, the Jets have turned to David Fales to serve as his backup.  Both Falk and Fales spent time with Jets coach Adam Gase when he was with the Dolphins and Fales relationship with the coach extends back to his time as the Bears offensive coordinator.

Fales was with the Lions over the summer and though three regular season games is 31-of-48 for 287 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

The Jets face the Patriots in Week 3 before a bye. Darnold is beleived to be able to return following the bye week.
