The No. 10 Chevrolet Camaro of AJ Allmendinger failed post race inspection following Friday’s Xfinity Series race.
Allmendinger finished third in the Circle K Firecracker 250 behind Kaulig Racing teammates Ross Chastain and Justin Haley but will now be credited with a 38th place run.
Wayne Austin, Xfinity Series director, said that a post-race vacuum check revealed a discrepancy in the engine of Allmendinger’d car.
