Zane Smith will make his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut this weekend at Las Vegas.
After sitting on the pit box at Atlanta, Smith now gets behind the wheel of the No. 8 Chevrolet. Smith is one of six drivers who will see time in the JR Motorsports car this season sharing time with Dale Earnhardt Jr., Chase Elliott, Jeb Burton, Ryan Truex and Ryan Preece. While all of those drivers have made Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series starts, Smith has just one Gander Outdoor Truck Series start to his name.
Smith has said he enters the weekend “super focused” and after four wins in the ARCA Menards Series, there’s no question that the 19-year-old from Huntington Beach, California, will have eyes on him this weekend.
