William Byron began Sunday’s running of the Daytona 500 on the pole.
After winning the pole for the 61st running of the Daytona 500, Byron and teammate Alex Bowman made up the front row.
Byron would end up finishing the day 21st.
The pole was the first in the career of Byron who enters his second season of full-time racing in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.
