Alex Wood to bring back windup in 2019

Alex Wood pitched only from the stretch last season but the left hander plans to re-introduce his windup for next season.

Wood, 27, finished last season 9-7 with a 3.68 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP in 33 games, including 27 starts. While solid, those numbers were a drop off from his 2017 season in which he went 16-3 with a 2.72 ERA and earned an All- Star appearance.

With the Dodgers continuing to be linked to Corey Kluber one has to wonder if Wood will be part of the Dodgers rotation in 2019. Wood made $6 million last season and will enter his final season of arbitration this year.
