The Yankees and Mariners are both showing interest in Blue Jays starting pitcher J.A. Happ.
Happ, 35, will almost certainly be moved at some point before the trade deadline as he finishes out the third year of a $36 million deal he signed with the Blue Jays.
#Yankees and #Mariners both interested in #BlueJays LHP J.A. Happ, source said, and here is one reason why: The AL rival #RedSox have an @MLB-best .813 OPS against RHP but only .672 against LHP. @MLBNetwork

The left-handed Happ has a 3.48 ERA, 1.065 WHIP and a nice 94/25 K/BB ratio across 14 starts of 82 2/3 innings this year.
With Josh Donaldson dealing with health issues, the Blue Jays best trade chip may be Happ. Currently they are 32-38 and have fallen 16 games out in the AL East and 13.5 games back in the Wild Card race.
