Regardless of what happens on Sunday the Denver Broncos are going to have some tough decisions going forward.
With Peyton Manning more than likely playing his last game for the team a decision on the quarterback of the future will have to take place. Of course the team also has to find a way to keep the “quarterback” of their defense under contract.
The Broncos may be planning to use the franchise tag on linebacker Von Miller according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. From there the team may try to work out a long-term deal with Miller.
#Broncos have a choice for their franchise tag: Brock Osweiler or Von Miller. Sources says they'll tag Miller, then try to work out a deal.

That by no way means that the team is considering moving on from Osweiler who played well in his initial starts with the club before fizzling out and being replaced in Week 17 by Manning. Osweiler will be the backup in Sunday’s game and while it has not be talked about, it would not be a complete surprise to see him play in the game should Manning prove to be completely ineffective.
The franchise tag for linebackers was $13.195 million last season and may be upwards of $14 million this season.
