Peyton Manning to retire after Super Bowl?

Rumors continue to swirl that Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning will retire following Super Bowl 50.

Manning will turn 40 next month and dealt with injury and physical decline this season. He returned to the field in Week 17 leading the Broncos to a win which earned them the AFC’s No. 1 seed and subsequently won two playoff games.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport the quarterback has told some of his close friends that he will retire after the Super Bowl.

The report from Rapoport is nothing new. This story has run its course since before Manning even returned to the field in Week 17. If the Broncos win it is almost certain that Manning retires, even in a loss it looks likely.
