Carson Palmer has downplayed his injured index finger the last few weeks but NFL Network’s Albert Breer says it has been more of an issue than anyone has let on.
On twitter today, Breer wrote “It’s fair to say Palmer’s finger’s been a little more of an issue than he’s let on. Good news: It looked better in practice this week.”

NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME INFO: Panthers vs. Cardinals
The second part of the statement is what matters. Palmer played a poor first half game against the Packers last week but turned it on late, thanks in large part to Larry Fitzgerald.
If Palmer looked better this week then its good news for the Cardinals but its worth noting that does nothing to chance the fact that the Panthers still have Josh Norman on the field. Palmer will attempt to spread the ball around to Fitzgerald, John Brown and Michael Floyd in the first NFC Championship game of his career.
