Kelly Johnson’s rumored return to the Braves has become all but official.

Johnson and the Braves have agreed to a one-year deal pending a physical. Just yesterday reports surfaced saying Johnson and the Braves had a 50/50 chance of working out a deal.

Last year Johnson began the season with the Braves but was traded by midseason to the Mets. The Braves surely will hope for a repeat this season.

Johnson will likely see time at a variety of positions for the rebuilding Braves. Last season he hit .265/.314/.435 with 14 home runs and 47 RBI while seeing time at six different positions.

Pirates add releiver

The Pirates have signed free agent reliever Neftali Feliz to a one-year deal. Jeff Pasan reports that the deal for Feliz is worth $3.9 million.

Feliz pitched for both the Rangers and Tigers last season but had a 6.38 ERA in 48 appearances. The Pirates will be hoping that the boost in velocity shown by Feliz last season will carry over and that he can reclaim some of his previous success.
