Johnny Manziel will start for the second straight week at quarterback for the Browns.
The Browns (2-7) had hoped Josh McCown would be ready to return but that is not the case. Dealing with injured ribs, McCown was able to get in some limited practice this week leading to the idea he would start today against the Steelers (5-4) in Pittsburgh.
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will also miss the game, he serves as the back-up to Landy Jones after suffering a foot injury last week.
Starting a week ago against the Bengals, Manziel played well in the first half until the Browns fell behind in the third quarter. Manziel has played better when he’s been able to move around outside the pocket so if the Steelers get ahead early this one could get ugly.
