The Cleveland Indians do not view David Murphy as a large part of their future. Hitting a respectable .299/.347/.443 on the season with five home runs, Murphy fits the role of a nice add-on for a contending team looking to add a low-cost bat to their roster.
FOX Sports’ Jon Morosi reports the Los Angeles Angels among the teams who are interested in the veteran who ten years of big league experience.

Even if the Angels are not his final destination, Murphy figures to be shopped and moved at the deadline. He carries a $7 million option for next season with a $500,000 buyout.
