With Josh Hamilton coming off the disabled list the Texas Rangers have sent rookie Joey Gallo back to Triple-A.
The 21-year-old Gallo was hitting batted .218/.306/.448 with five home runs and a 43/11 K/BB ratio over 98 plate appearances since his call up to the big leagues.
Gallo still projects to be a huge piece of the Rangers future but right now the team feels it is best to give him regular playing time in the minors instead of getting creative with their lineup to try and find big league at-bats for him.
