Shaun Marcum will again find himself at Triple-A Columbus after he cleared waivers following a designation for assignment by the Cleveland Indians on Thursday.
Marcum has been inconsistent during his seven games this season. His last two outings are as much evidence of that as anything else. After going seven innings allowing just two hits on June 11 against the Seattle Mariners, he was pounded for six runs in two innings on June 17 against the Chicago Cubs.
The Indians will now keep him at Triple-A and recall him if necessary.
