Last year’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year Kyle Larson has been cleared to return to racing action after missing last weekend’s STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway.

Larson will return to the seat of the No. 42 Target Chevrolet for next weekend’s Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Target Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates released the following statement on Thursday.

“Following a thorough review of all the test results by his attending physicians and in conjunction with the medical staff from NASCAR, Kyle Larson has been medically cleared to return to all NASCAR related activities beginning at Texas Motor Speedway next weekend, April 10-11.”

Larson will meet with the media later on Thursday.

Larson has two top ten finishes in five starts this season. As a rookie he racked up eight top five and 17 top ten finishes in 36 starts. He won two Xfinity Series races last year.
