In a story which appears to be much ado about nothing, Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak expects quarterback Peyton Manning to return to the team for the 2015 season.
There has been many reports which go back and forth on whether or not the Broncos want Manning to return for the 2015 season but Kubiak gave little indication ahead of the NFL Combine that the Broncos would start the season without him.
“I’m expecting him to come back,” Kubiak said via the Denver Post. “We want to play with him. This organization has won a lot of games with him and we want to get back and do it again. Expecting him to come back.”
Until Manning announces his intention to play this year, these stories will continue.
“I don’t think there’s any hold up at all,” Kubiak said. “He and John are working through the process. That’s been the plan all along, the way I understand it.”
The biggest reason the Broncos would not want Manning to return is his salary for the 2015 season which is set to be $19 milion with a $25 milion cap figure.
