With the Broncos head coaching search in a state of confusion, defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio appears set to join the division rival Raiders.
An official announcement on the hiring of Del Rio is expected to come Wednesday. According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen the Raiders came to the conclusion that Del Rio was the guy they wanted on Tuesday night despite general manager Reggie McKenzie preferring interim head coach Tony Sparano.
In nine seasons as the head coach of the Jaguars, Del Rio has a career 68-71 record.
