Aaron Rodgers dealing with slight tear in calf

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will start Sunday’s NFC Divisional Round playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys. While Rodgers will start he will not be at 100 percent.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Rodgers is dealing with a “slight tear” in his calf in addition to a “significant” strain.

What all that means is up for debate. The biggest question is how much will Rodgers be able to contribute.

“The question is whether he’ll be 95 percent or 50 percent,” were the words of a “doctor familiar with the injury.”

Rodgers should participate in team drills on Thursday but the team will limit his practice reps ahead of Sunday’s game. With the go or go home nature of the game the Packers are not about to sit Rodgers out.

Matt Flynn is the Packers backup. He led them to a come from behind win against the Cowboys a year ago.
