The Bengals forced a fumble from Colts running back Dan Herron shortly before halftime in Sunday’s Wild Card Round game.
After a few offensive plays the Bengals were forced to settle for a field goal attempt by kicker Mike Nugent. Nugent was 0-for-3 on the regular season but was able to hit a career long 57 yarder in Sunday’s game with the aid of the goal post.
The field goal was the second longest in playoff history, just one yard behind a kick from former Dolphins kicker Pete Stoyanovich.
