Colts kept ball away from Trent Richardson in win

The Colts won on Sunday against the Bengals without having to use Trent Richardson.

Long regarded as a bad acquisition, Richardson was said to be suffering from an illness this week that prevented him from playing much. The Colts again started Dan Herron who committed two fumbles.

The second fumble by Herron allowed from a brief appearance by Richardson in the fourth but it was short lived. He never touched the ball.

If the Colts really needed Richardson he would have played more. He was not needed. Through three career playoff games Richardson has just four touches of the ball.
