Kyle Orton tells Bears he plans to retire

It looks like Kyle Orton is again considering retirement.

Orton released a statement saying he was prepared to end his areer after 10 seasons.

“I just have been going at it for 10 years and it’s just a family decision and I’ve decided to get home and be a dad and call it a day,” Orton said in the statement.

Orton was released by the Cowboys last offseason as reports circulated that he was considering retirement then. He later signed a two-year deal with the Bills taking over for EJ Manuel in Week 5 and leading the team to a 7-5 mark.

In his 12 games this season Orton completed 64.2 percent of his passes for 3,018 yards while compiling a 18:10 touchdown to interception ratio.
