Matt Barkley will not start the season finale for the Eagles.
Even with the Eagles eliminated from playoff contention and his contract set to expire at the end of the season the team will keep Mark Sanchez undercenter.
The 28-year-old Sanche has been his typical self during eight games with the Eagles thsi season completiting 64.1-percent of his passes for 2126 yards and a 12:10 touchdown to interception ratio.
Chip Kelly said on 84-WIP that Mark Sanchez and not Matt Barkley will start against the Giants.

Sanchez’s inability to play well late cost the Eagles multiple times in recent weeks and now has them sitting on the outside of the playoffs.
Barkley, 24, has played just one game this year. He appeared in three games during his rookie season throwing four interceptions and fumbling three times.
Even if they win against the Giants to end the season the Eagles will only match their 10-6 record from a year ago.
