Titans quarterback Zach Mettenberger took another hard shot to his right throwing shoulder in Sunday’s loss to the Gaints.
For now the Titans are calling the injury to the rookie a sprain but an MRI performed tomorrow is expected to rule the former LSU quarterback out for the rest of the season.

If Mettenberger is indeed done for the season then the Titans would have to turn back to Jake Locker for the final three games of the season. Locker is expected to be let go at the end of the season.
Mettenberger would end the season with a 60-percent competition percentage 1,287 yards and a 8:6 touchdown to interception ratio in his first six NFL games. The Titans are expected to draft a quarterback.
