The Dodgers have continued their pursuit of White Sox shortstop Alexei Ramirez reports Bob Nightengale of USA Today.
With Hanley Ramirez expected to leave via free agency the team has a hole at shortstop and while they could easily turn the job over to Erisbel Arruebarrena they are not ready to do so. Instead the team is seeking external options for the 2015.

Ramirez is owed $10 million in 2015 and carries a club option for the same amount in 2016. Coming off a season in which he hit .273/.305/.408 with 15 homers, 74 RBI and 21 steals he has drawn trade interest from several other teams – including the Yankees.
