Cowboys to start Brandon Weeden against Cardinals?

The chances of Brandon Weeden being under center for the Dallas Cowboys in Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals appear to be growing by the day.

Speaking to reporters after Friday’s practice, Cowboys offensive coordinator Scott Linehan called it “rare” that a quarterback misses an entire week of practice and then plays.

Romo suffered a back injury in Monday’s loss. While he was able to return to the game the Cowboys showed they could at-least move the ball and generate points with Weeden producing 10 points.

The Cardinals secondary is shaky at best while their ground stopping game has been one of the NFL’s best. If the Cowboys are to win on Sunday they will have to air it out some. If inserted into the starting lineup, Weeden gives the Cowboys an ample chance at winning.
