Jon Beason considering season-ending surgery

New York Giants linebacker Jon Beason is considering season-ending surgery on his toe.

Beason believes there is a 50-50 chance he returns to the field as it is. Beason hurt his foot over the summer and will allow Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte to look over his scans before making any decision.

“I’m still deciding if the smart thing is to go ahead and get it fixed and get ready for next season,” Beason said via the Newark Star Ledger.

“I talked to Dr. Anderson [Tuesday] and he wants to continue to look at the MRI and the CT scan and see what the options are,” Beason said. “He wants to do what’s best for me, obviously, but at the same time he knows that, hey, I want to play, and if I can play, I want to do whatever I can to make sure I can line up on the field against the Colts next week.”

With Beason at less than 100-percent he has played in just four games this season leaving the giants to turn to Jameel McClain.
