Reggie Bush downplayed an ankle injury following Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills.

“I feel good, but we’ll see,” Bush said afterward. “I’ll speak to the doctors and trainers and we’ll take the necessary precautions to do whatever I need to do to get healthy for this week.”

The Lions were left with George Winn to carry the ball in the second half as Theo Riddick and Joique Bell were both inactive.

Another concern for the Lions is the status of wide receiver Calvin Johnson’s troublesome ankle.

Johnson took a shot to his right leg by Bills cornerback Leodis McKelvin and never returned to the game afterward.

“I won’t be certain if it’s a long-term issue, but he did take a pretty good whack right there on the side of his leg,” coach Jim Caldwell said. “They looked at it, but they’ll evaluate him further, probably tomorrow and get a good look at him.”

Johnson caught just one pass for seven yards against the Bills. The Lions were handed a 17-14 defeat.
