Yankees pitcher Masahiro Tanaka is scheduled to start against the Red Sox on Saturday.
Tanaka returned to action on Sunday and allowed one run run over 5 1/3 innings of work as he struck out four Blue Jays. The Yankees had Tanaka limited to 70 pitches for Sunday’s game but he is expected to be allowed to throw 85 against the Red Sox.
This will be the final outing of the season for Tanaka who opted to rehab a UCL tear.
