If there is anything to take from the Jaguars blowout loss to the Colts on Sunday it is that Blake Bortles has moved into the role of quarterback.
Bortles replaced an ineffective Chad Henne in what proved to be a 44-17 loss, the Jaguars third to start the season.
Henne was just 4-of-7 for 33 yards before giving way to Bortles. Bortles finished the game 14-of-24 for 223 yards tossing his first two regular seaso touchdowns and two interceptions.
The third overall pick this season, Bortles should have no problem keeping the Jaguars starting quarterback job going forward. Henne is nothing more than a journeyman backup who had the misfortune of being cast with a team devoid of any offensive weapons.
