Rams head coach Jeff Fisher tried to defuse the thought that quarterback Shaun Hill was benched due to ineffective play in Week 1.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Fisher said that the journeyman would start in Week 2 against Tampa Bay if he is healthy.
Hill played the first half of Sunday’s loss going 8-of-13 for 81 yards with an interception. The Rams trailed 13-0 at halftime and while Hill came out of the locker room with his helmet on he never returned to the field.
Jeff Fisher says Shaun Hill "is our starter" and will start if healthy vs. Tampa Bay.

The Rams lost Sam Bradford in the preseason to yet another knee injury.
Austin Davis replaced Hill going 16-of-23 for 192 yards with an interception in the second half. He would start should Hill be unable to go for any reason.
