The New York Yankees have added another bullpen arm acquiring John Outman from the Clevand Idians.
Outman has been pitching at Triple-A Columbus since being kicked off the Indians 40-man roster in late June but now becomes a bullen option with the Yankees. The Indians will get either a player to be named later or cash.
Outman’s numbers offer a mixed bag. He owns a 3.28 ERA anda 1.54 WHIP but the bigger concern is his 24/16 K/BB ratio in just 24 2/3 innings of work this year.
Left handed batters have a career .188/.257/.287 line against the 29-year-old left hander.
