In 2011 the Arizona Diamondbacks won the National League West. Since then the team has been unable to get above the .500 mark and currently finds itself 19 games under for the year.
While manager Kirk Gibson could be an obvious one to point fingers at the team is planning to bring him back reports Bob Nightengale of USA Today. However he does caution that chief baseball officer Tony La Russa has delayed any official announcement possibly because he wants to bring in his own guys.

Gibson took over the Diamondbacks midway though the 2010 season. During his time at the helm the team is 343-351.
