Tennessee Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt cautioned those who believe that the ball continue issues of Bishop Sankey this preseason could cost him offensive touches.
Whisenhunt said that Sankey was “not a fumbler” according to Terry McCormick of Titans Insider. The coach blamed the rookies inability to hold onto the ball on techniques and footwork.
Right now Shonn Green is the top man on the depth chart for the Titans but its a good sign for Sankey’s future with the Titans when the head coach defends him publicly following his shaky preseason start. Dexter McCluster joins Sankey and Green on the depth chart in Tennessee.

On six carries in the Titans second preseason game Sankey produced 31 yards while committing a fumble. Reports in recent weeks have suggested that Sankey had been struggling to hold onto the ball in practice.
Green was able to suit up for practice on Monday after hyper-extending his knee in Friday’s game.
