Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has been giving clearance to return to practice.
Carr was reported to have a concussion from Saturday’s preseason game making his return to practice on Monday impressive. He was seen practicing with additional padding on his ribs.

Matt Schaub is still considered the front runner in the Raiders quarterback battle though Carr could put some pressure on him with a strong performance though its more likely that he takes over the starting job sometime after the regular season starts.
Carr has completed 19-of-32 passes for 183 yards with one touchdown and one interception this preseason.
