The Miami Dolphins will not be signing free agent quarterback Rex Grossman to a contract.
Grossman worked out for the Dolphins on Monday along with Brady Quinn and John Skelton but will not be signing with the team. Skelton is also not expected to be signed reports Pro Football Talk.
At-least one other team has Grossman lined up for a workout. One option could be the Cleveland Browns given Grossman’s experience with their offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan.
Grossman last saw regular time in 2011 as a member of the Washington Redskins under Shanahan. A former first-round pick of the Chicago Bears in 2003, Grossman led them to the Super Bowl in 2006.
The 33-year-old Grossman has completed 55.2-percent of his passes in his career for 10,232 yards. He has thrown 56 touchdowns and 60 interceptions.
Former Denver Broncos first round pick Tim Tebow also does not appear to be an option in Miami.
