Jim Thome has not appeared in a baseball game since the 2012 season. On Saturday he signed an honorary one-day deal with the Indians retiring with the team that he made his big league debut with in 1991.

The announcement came on the day that a statue of Thome was unveiled in Cleveland’s Progressive Field.

Thoem played with the Indians from 1991-2002 before returning in 2011. He also made stops with the Phillies, White Sox, Dodgers, Twins and Orioles.

Thome finishes his 22-year career with a .276/.402/.554 line to go with 612 home runs and 1699 RBI.
