Jeff Burton stepped out of the No. 31 Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing t the end of the 2013 season. Since making that decision Burton has been just a part-time driver for Michael Waltrip Racing in the No. 66 Toyota.

Sunday’s race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway could be the final one in the career of the 47-year-old.

Asked whether or not the Camping World RV Sales 301 would be his final race Burton was unsure but at peace.

“I can give you a positive that I don’t know. I think it’s a good chance. I’m okay with that. I’m really comfortable with what I’m doing.” said Burton. “It’s fun being here. I have a lot of friends here. I’ve been going to quite a few races this year. If this is my last race, it’s cool with me for it to be here. This isn’t my home track, but this is certainly a track a lot of my career has been shaped at this race track.”

Loudon has been special to Burton as four of his 21 career Sprint Cup Series wins have come at the 1.058 mile track.

Burton will start 29th on Sunday.
